Work With Us

Volunteers are the backbone of our organization.

The Rainbow Center relies on the contribution of our volunteers to achieve  our goals and purpose. We welcome your participation and look forward to discussing ways in which we can work together to serve the mission of the Jefferson County Pride organization! There are three ways in which you can volunteer:

  • Attending the Rainbow Center in person along with the Rainbow Center Coordinator and assisting in engagement with participants, monitoring, food preparation and various other tasks:

  • Becoming a Rainbow Team Member. Together with the Rainbow Center coordinator, members of the team meet voluntarily on a weekly basis to work on the development and running of the center in a non-hierarchical fashion:

  • Becoming a youth advisor. If you are aged 12-24 and identify within the LGBTQ+ spectrum, you qualify to join the youth advisory team, in which you work closely with the Rainbow Team, are able to attend the weekly Rainbow Team meetings, and consult us on pertinent subjects relating to the vision and mission of the Rainbow Center:
